Recovery Technician
Lions Gift of Sight is always open to talking to people with an interest in eye tissue recovery. Recovery Technicians serve in Minnesota and parts of North Dakota and Wisconsin. These positions are part time medical technician positions that afford considerable flexibility in scheduling on-call shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends. Director of Business Development
Lions Gift of Sight has a new opportunity available on the Senior Leadership Team, Director of Business Development. This position would: implement and manage business planning, performance improvement, and strategic initiatives; anticipate changes in the eye banking climate and position LGS for business success and regulatory compliance; advise the Executive Director on trends, opportunities, and threats; facilitate key collaboration with all units of LGS to improve operational efficiency; and represent LGS in developing strategic initiatives with other eye banks, researchers, and current and potential industry partners.

Researcher 3
We have an opening on the ever-awesome Research Team. The work of this full time, Sunday-Thursday Researcher 3 position includes:
- Processing and distributing donor ocular tissues to our research clients.
- Evaluating research-eligible tissue based on clinical features, medical/social history, and medical records for various research projects.
- Coordinating with on-call donor coordinators and recovery technicians to provide customized services, including specialty procurements, tissue preservations, and processing based on client criteria.
- Performing donor eye dissection, photography, imaging analysis and documentation on dissected tissue.
- Overseeing the outsourcing of tissue fixation, embedding, sectioning, and staining services by the Histology Core Facility at the University of Minnesota.
- Cultivating ocular cells extracted from donor tissues for in vitro expansion and cryopreserving the cultured ocular cells for distribution.
