Helping to restore sight is an amazing legacy for any person to leave.
Some give sight by contributing to the knowledge of research scientists who study diseases like macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and glaucoma. Some give sight by adding to the knowledge and skills of the next generation of eye doctors. And some give sight to a specific person through a corneal transplant. Thanks to eye donors, countless individuals can or will see again.
Donor Recognition Program
Lions Gift of Sight regularly holds programs to honor and recognize our eye donors. Our next event will be a virtual event on Sunday, May 23. Featured will be donors from 2019 and 2020. The pre-recorded event will include a tribute by a University of Minnesota doctor and a research scientist, a story and thank you from a corneal recipient, and a slide show of 2019-2020 donors.
Links to the virtual events will be available soon!
