Lions Gift of Sight partners with eye banks across the country to ensure that donated tissue is quickly recovered, processed and utilized by surgeons to restore sight in Minnesota and around the world. We offer innovative services and products to support more efficient, faster corneal transplants wherever they are needed.
We are a large, independent, nonprofit community eye bank and a world-class research institution. Our dedicated Research and Development department (R&D) operates in partnership with the University of Minnesota. In 2024 alone, we provided 2,322 corneas for transplant and 1,635 eyes for research. We recover tissue throughout Minnesota, Wisconsin and North Dakota.

Lions Gift of Sight offers a wide selection of human donor eye tissue for transplant purposes. Tissue is high-quality and service is exceptional. We supply eye tissue to surgeons in Minnesota, as well as throughout the United States and in other countries, when available.
Our cloud-based, automated computer vision software system launched in 2024, and is now available for use by eye banks. This is an innovative system developed to visualize the health of the entire graft area of a cornea after processing for endothelial keratoplasty, automatically quantifying the damage present.
This is an innovative corneal allograft that is transplanted on the ocular surface. It is made from decellularized Descemet's membrane, which serves as an optimized substrate for epithelial regrowth. BrightMem is a long-term solution for patients with impaired ocular healing. We continue to drive next-generation therapeutics for patients in need.
